Commercial Deep Fryer FAQs
Which fryer size should I choose: 40, 50 or 70 lb.?
The 40 lb. fryers (90,000 BTU, 3 burners) suit smaller kitchens, food trucks and moderate fry volume. The 50 lb. models (120,000 BTU, 4 burners) step up for busier lines. The 70 lb. fryers (150,000 BTU, 5 burners) are made for high-volume service where fast oil recovery matters. Match the size to your peak-hour volume.
How do I know whether I need the propane or natural gas version?
Each capacity comes in separate propane and natural gas versions: 40 lb., 50 lb. and 70 lb. Choose the one that matches the gas supply in your kitchen. Buying the correct version from the start avoids conversions. Have a qualified technician make the gas connection.
What comes with the fryers?
Each fryer has a stainless steel exterior and comes with nickel-plated fry baskets with heat-resistant vinyl handles for safer handling. All models also have a front drain port for easier oil changes. Check each product page for the number of baskets and any additional accessories included.
How do I drain and change the oil?
All six fryers have a front drain port so you can drain oil into a suitable container without lifting or tipping the unit. Let the oil cool to a safe temperature first, then drain, clean the tank and refill. How often you change oil depends on volume and what you fry; filtering regularly extends oil life.
What does the BTU rating mean for my fryer?
BTU measures heat output. Higher BTU helps oil heat up and recover temperature faster after you drop cold or frozen food. The 40 lb. fryers put out 90,000 BTU, the 50 lb. models 120,000 BTU and the 70 lb. models 150,000 BTU, with burners scaled to match (3, 4 and 5). Faster recovery means crispier food during rushes.
